Introducing the Toyooka Kaban masterpiece, Miyake Hatsuji Shoten x YOUTA Ooware Dulles Bag!

Do you have any concerns such as zippers being bothersome to open and close, or the contents of your bag being difficult to see and retrieve?

To solve these problems, we are introducing a new product, the "Wide-Opening Wood-Handle Dalles Bag," a collaboration with Miyake Hatsuji Shoten.

We've incorporated YOUTA's modern design into Toyooka Kaban's masterpiece, the "Wide-Opening Dalles," which features a frame that opens wide and stands stably on its own.

Today, we will introduce the charms of Toyooka Kaban's new "Wide-Opening Dalles" and "Dalles Pouch." Please enjoy.

What isYOUTA's frame structure?

Have you ever experienced situations when using a bag where "the zipper is bothersome to open and close," "it's difficult to reach in and take out items," or "you want to retrieve an item while one hand is occupied"?

This product adopts a frame structure, reducing the frustration and wasted time when opening and closing the bag. Additionally, the wide-opening design makes the bag's contents easy to see and retrieve.

Furthermore, while a normal dalles bag has an opening width of 13cm, the wide-opening dalles bag opens approximately twice as wide at 25cm!

The wide-opening dalles bag has a large capacity that can accommodate a 16-inch MacBook Pro, yet it fits on your lap on the train and is convenient to carry. It can also securely hold notebooks, documents, and more, offering more capacity than it appears.

The dalles pouch can hold a 500ml PET bottle and an iPad, making it just right for sightseeing while traveling.

It also comes with a shoulder strap, which is a nice feature as it makes the bag feel less heavy even when carrying necessary items.

While there are many cool clothes for men, there aren't as many for bags. So, we decided to create them ourselves. With this straightforward idea, we launched the men's bag brand "YOUTA" in 2006. The material I focused on, having worked in various apparel-related fields including clothing, watches, and shoes, was synthetic leather. It's lightweight and water-resistant, so unlike real leather, it requires no maintenance. The fact that it's made from non-animal materials—"vegan leather"—suited for modern times was another reason I chose synthetic leather.
